Jon working with Epicor
Epicor is a system that focuses on distribution, manufacturing, retail, and service industries. The system integrates inventory systems and billing making it an all-in-one package for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). One of our clients works with this system and needed a little help.
Our client had some consultants helping them with their Epicor migration updating to a new version. They needed us to assist in getting those consultants secure access. One of our team members, Jon Anderson, went in and helped set everything up.
He helped in getting access for their outside consultants. Because giving the outside consultants access to important information poses a security threat, Jon had to be careful in making their entry short-term. Jon hopped on to a screen connect with the client and showed them the ropes to get connected to Epicor and helped enable 2FA, then allowed the client to take the reins and login themselves.
Overall, this is a simple project for our team. Our client quoted, “Jon had been very diligent helping us with our requests regarding our server and software updates”. We will be staying in contact with this customer to make sure there are no issues and assist if needed in closing access to the outside vendors.
